
Meina J. Dubetz has been a dedicated advocate for optimum health care delivery for over 50 years. Beginning her career as a Patient Care Attendant at the age of 17, those formative summer months were pivotal in igniting her lifelong passion for caring for others.
She is the author of When Death Comes Knocking for Your Patients, which became a #1 best seller on Amazon in both the US and Canada. Meina has also contributed articles to We Can Die Better magazine. She is currently writing her second book, developing an online course for those entering the field of palliative care, and sharing her experiences through speaking engagements at workshops and on line events.
Meina’s professional journey began as a Licensed Practical Nurse in 1969, later advancing to a Registered Nurse at Mount Royal University in Calgary, Canada, in 1989. Specializing in Palliative and Oncology care, she has further enhanced her practice by obtaining certifications in Gerontology and Oncology. Additionally, she is a certified Grief Educator, Hypnotherapist and Reiki Master, ensuring a deep and meaningful connection with those she supports.
Now retired, Meina has earned her Master’s in Spiritual Studies and Counselling, with a focus on end-of-life and grief support. Her mission is to offer compassionate guidance to individuals and families navigating the profound journey of life’s final transition.
